Training matrix builder
Build a workers × tickets matrix with an expiry date in every cell. It colour-codes what's in date, due soon and expired, totals the gaps, and gives you calendar reminders — all saved on your device.
Free to use — no signup; everything stays in your browser. Use as a planning aid, then review against the actual site.

Expiry reminders
Download one calendar file with a reminder for every expired or soon-to-expire entry. Each event lands on the expiry date with an alert 30 days before — import it into Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar. Nothing is uploaded.
Record control
Who keeps this matrix current and when it was last reviewed — the detail an assessor checks first.

Company — training matrix
Add at least one worker above to build the matrix record.
This matrix records training, cards and tickets and their expiry dates to support competence decisions. It does not certify that anyone is competent — competence for a given task is a judgement for the responsible person, taking account of skills, knowledge, training and experience. Keep cards and certificates on file as the underlying evidence.

Why keep a training matrix?
A training matrix is the simplest way to show, at a glance, who holds which cards, tickets and training and when each one runs out. Principal contractors and SSIP assessors (CHAS, SMAS, Constructionline and the rest) routinely ask for one as evidence that you take competence seriously and keep on top of renewals.
It supports the duty under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 to use people who have the skills, knowledge, training and experience for the work — and the broader duty under the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 to provide and maintain adequate training.
Records support competence — they don't create it
A CSCS card or a course certificate is evidence that someone has had relevant training. It is not, on its own, proof that they are competent for a particular task on a particular site. Competence is a judgement the responsible person makes, taking account of training plus experience and the actual work. This matrix gives you the evidence to make that judgement and to show others you made it — keep the cards and certificates on file as the underlying proof.
How the colours work
- Green with a tick and date — in date.
- Amber — expiring within 60 days, so renewal needs arranging now.
- Red — expired. The worker should not be relied on for that ticket until it is renewed.
- Dash (—) — no date recorded for that worker and column.
The summary at the top totals what is expired and what is expiring. The calendar download gives you one .ics file with a reminder on each expiry date and an alert 30 days before — import it into Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar so renewals never sneak up on you.
Everything stays on your device
The whole matrix is saved in your browser's local storage — nothing is sent to us. Come back to the same browser any time and your workers, columns and dates will still be there.

RamsDocs helps draft structured RAMS from your job details. It does not replace competent-person review, site-specific judgement or your legal duties.
Need the full RAMS, not just the numbers?
RamsDocs builds a site-specific RAMS draft for your trade, then prompts the competent-person review, evidence and sign-off needed before principal-contractor submission.
Build a proportionate CPP for small and domestic projects — the document CDM 2015 requires before work starts.
